Spring Break Traveling Etiquette With Kids

Spring break is just around the corner, and as a mom of 3 kids under the age of 12, I know how challenging traveling can be. Whether you a flying or driving. It's stressful enough packing and preparing for the trip let alone getting the family through the airport without one of them having a complete meltdown. Yes, they feel your stress too! We as parents understand that there are rules of protocol that we must follow in order to have a safe journey, but kids aren't aware of them all. And how should they be if they haven't been taught. So this spring break take a different approach and get the family on the same page. Here are some tips that will make your travels much more enjoyable:
1. Plan ahead and sit your kids down, explain to them what the day will be like in advance. Explain that there may be lots of people around and they need to be courteous of others traveling as well.
2. In an airport, it is especially important that kids don't run around. For their safety and others. Many people are in a hurry and having kids running around just ads to their stress and yours.
3. If there are elevators, make sure your kids do not push all of the buttons. You are sure to get some dirty looks for this.
4. If they need to use the restroom, explain to them that they do not need to announce it to the world. When they get to the restroom make sure they know to wait in line patiently and pick up after themselves.
5. If you are in a terminal waiting for a plane, make room for other people. If you have a backpack full of toys, put it under your seat so others may sit down as well.
6. When boarding with small kids, always try to get on early if possible. Most people understand that kids take some extra effort and need extra time. Have your seating arrangements figured out before you get on the plane. If your family gets separated figure out your game plan before you get on. I have always been lucky with other kind people who are willing to switch seats when the airlines have separated my family. Find a flight attendant as soon as you go on and ask them if they can help you.
7. Boredom is they key factor to your kid's restlessness. Make sure your kids have enough activities to keep them busy on the plane. Pack a backpack with activities for each kid the day before so they have plenty to keep them busy. (My kids particularly like Rand McNally's (Boredom breaker) travel card games. Hours of fun and small enough o carry in a backpack.)

Children needs protection, respect, love and most of all they need their parents to support them to be a better person in the future. The greatest gift we can give them is their protection. They need you and me, they need guidance and learning. The problem we often encounter is the problem with lack of education. In school children must learn what they have to learn, what they have to do and what they have to pursue in life. We can't give every children an opportunity to have a better education because of some financial problems but we can give the best effort to be a good teacher to them when it comes to discipline. It is not bad to discipline a child but make sure it will lead them to a right path and not into rebellious situation. Once and for all we must realize that if this generation failed how much more the coming generations? Lack of knowledge on how to take good care of a child is the main problem, the root of all problems regarding this matter and the continuous situation will flow up to the coming generations.
There's no harm on asking the right thing to do on a very critical stage of growing up the child. To whom you can rely on? Books, friends, parents with experiences, movies, seminars and most of all to God. God knows what is best if we will just learn how to communicate with Him, He will instruct us on what to do by leading us in the path of righteousness and after that, we can lead our future generation too. Give God the part where we can't handle, He will do it for us, He is our portion, our teacher and most of all the Father of all creation. God loves us unconditionally. More than we know and more than we can ever imagine. Prayer changes things.

A Memorable Garden Party With A Theme-Based Bouncy Castle

Garden parties in Spring and Summer seasons are a delightful way of welcoming the short-lived warm weather condition. Such parties usually include jolly, restless, young guests for whom parties mean lots of ice creams, jelly beans, cupcake making events, bowling, magic tricks, entertainers, etc. So, setting up a certain picture that will appeal to the mass is fundamentally challenging. A party rental that can bring several families close together for a span of utter delight without any sort of disturbance and distraction is a bouncy castle. Worth several of party entertainers, a theme-based bouncy castle as the centerpiece of the party with a few matching helium balloons making the décor can do wonders.
The castles are a soft play spot for the youngsters where they can prance around with similar-aged people and have great enjoyment. You can simply skip the idea of a huge party cake for the children by bringing in this particular entertainer. When several kids flock together, they characteristically tend to act thoughtlessly, just to derive fun from reckless engagements. Very popular in United Kingdom, the playhouses are invariably the favorite of children aged under 12. The variant themes make the castles an exciting spot to jump on, with all the favorite cartoon characters adorning the walls.
A standard bouncy castle exhibits a dimension of 108" x 168" which can allow 2 or 3 boarders at a time. Depending upon the number of toddler guests your party will welcome, you can order a castle, sized accordingly. Since, a huge, booming market runs on these rentals, the manufacturers try to proffer optimum fun and convenience through the inflatable. Even though they are totally colossal structures, they can be set up without much of a fuss. The suppliers are never tardy in delivering the rentals on time.
Since the items are primarily manufactured for little children, the producers are particular about the safety standards followed during the building process. Thus, they are safe to ride for children of all age-groups. Irrespective of the prevailing weather condition, the jumpers can be placed in the open yard, on a leveled ground space. It is best if you can arrange small nametags and fix them on the wrists or back of the little riders so that they can be spotted easily in the crowd. However, the theme of the castle is still a crucial aspect to optimize the fun quotient delivered to the urchins.

St Patrick's Day Games for Kids

Planning activities for St. Patrick's Day should be fun for everybody. Choose activities that are age appropriate for the age group that you are entertaining- kids won't enjoy games that are too easy or that are too difficult. Traditional party games are great for children's parties because of how versatile they are, the original game rules are only a guideline and can be altered to fit any occasion and theme.
To make game play more fun for young children you should try and eliminate or minimize the competition. Children under the age of 9 don't always understand the concept of winning and losing and feelings are sure to get hurt. St. Patrick's Day is about being "lucky" so make every child lucky by making them all winners.
If you will offer prizes for your games get creative and make them fit the theme. For example leprechauns are known for their gold coins so why not buy some chocolate gold coins? To make your prizes double as favors provide a black sack (little bag with pull string), when the party is finished and the kids are departing they will have a great party favor that they will truly appreciate, a lucky sack of gold! Tip: reward each child equally and if some kids have more prizes than others be sure to have extra available so everybody is treated fairly.
Treasure hunt- a treasure hunt is a perfect activity for people of all ages and always lots of fun. Hide "gold coins" that the leprechaun has hidden that the children must find.
Pot of Gold-this game is a simple modification to the traditional bean bag toss. Use black buckets or containers to represent the "pot" and yellow bean bags to represent the "gold".
Leprechaun Says- this game is played exactly as Simon says only Leprechaun Says! Choose one child to be the "leprechaun" and call actions for the other players to follow when he says "Leprechaun says", if any players do the actions and "Leprechaun says" wasn't called they are eliminated. The game is played until there is only one player left.
Pin the Shamrock-instead of pinning the tail on the donkey the players pin the shamrock on the leprechaun where it is supposed to go, you can make your leprechaun from poster board. Give each child a shamrock with an adhesive on the back. Blindfold the players one at a time and spin them 3 times and have them pin their shamrock. The player who is the closest wins.
Irish Hot Potato- to make this classic game with an Irish twist be sure to play some jig music- it will really set the mood! Have the players all sit in a circle and pass the potato around as the music is playing, when the music is stopped the person holding the potato is eliminated. The game is played until there is only one person remaining.

What Are All Boys Boarding Schools?

There was a time when sending their children to all boys boarding schools was something that was only done by the wealthy. Over time, that practice was widened to include a wide range of socioeconomic groups, of all races, and the schools themselves have even reached out to low income groups across the country to help students in need. The schools have proven successful in bringing educational opportunities to those who might otherwise have never stood a chance, and broadening the horizons of a host of young men in the process.
All boys boarding schools, in general
Schools of this type provide a structured, educational experience for boys of all ages that they cannot find in any other public institution. While there are general education boarding schools, there are also a host of other more specialized schools that parents can send their children to, at which they will gain not only a good education, but one that is tailored to their specific needs.
Most boarding schools accept boys from the 9th grade, on into the 12th. Still others will accept younger students, but usually only beginning at the 3rd grade level. International boarding schools will accept students younger than those in the US, but that practice is still considered a rarity. Studying in a single sex environment has proven to give students a more structured education, while providing the proper level of socialization that boys that age need to mature. Sports, sciences and college prep courses are consistently taught, achieving remarkable grade averages in the process.
Religious schools
In the southern United States, in particular, there is a trend for boarding schools to be based in some organized religion, even if the curriculum does not always consist of solely religious subject matter. Math, sciences, history does take precedence, and you will find more college prep courses here as well as athletics than you will find in more open curriculums. Strict codes of conduct apply, and students must attend church without question.
Military
The military type of boarding school has existed for centuries in the United States. These schools have a strict code of conduct for their students, in keeping with their military history of producing career military men who eventually go on to become decorated officers. Most students who attend a military school will graduate with more determination, a personal drive for success, and a deep desire to be of service to their country, however they can.
Therapeutic
Therapeutic boarding schools are designed to accept children who are considered to be the at risk type of student, either due to learning disabilities or social economic distress. These are the schools where the teacher-student ratio is geared to give each student the attention they need, so that they excel at the curriculum offered, in spite of any roadblocks that might have otherwise stood in their way. These schools also offer counseling programs designed to help students stay focused on their education, and will work at helping them overcome any learning disabilities.
